Naming What Was Never Mourned
There are some losses we never get to name. Losses we moved past but never truly healed from.
These losses don't make headlines, often nobody even knows, but they do make heart wounds. And when left unaddressed, they don'tdisappear. They just settle into the spaces where our purpose is meant to rise.
Grief doesn't cancel our calling but ungrieved losses do. They clog the flow of clarity and forward movement. That is why we begin here: with truth.
With over three decades of specialized experience in the intricate field of mental healthcare, Credere Counseling & Advies distinguishes itself through a profound depth of knowledge, extensive professional expertise, and an unwavering commitment to continuous personal growth. Her approach exemplifies the values she promotes, offering guidance that is both authentic and deeply informed.

Extraordinary Credere
Catharina received her professional training within one of the most esteemed therapeutic communities in the Netherlands at the time. This organization’s innovative methodologies garnered significant recognition, even drawing attention from professional journals, which conducted interviews to highlight their pioneering approach. The community worked in close collaboration with KIB Eindhoven, sharing a unified philosophy and a dedication to holistic and client-centered care.
At the age between 25 and 32, Catharina, alongside her direct collegues, successfully established a secure and supportive environment where individuals recovering from severe abuse could begin the process of healing and rebuilding their lives. Their collective efforts enabled many to achieve independence and personal development. Catharina is a steadfast advocate for the cultivation of trusting therapeutic relationships, particularly with those who may initially appear resistant or incapable of forming such connections. She underscores the necessity of creating a stable and secure environment where clients are afforded the space, time, and support required to reestablish attachment. This process is nurtured through consistent role modeling, unconditional positive regard, and the establishment of clear boundaries. In such an environment, clients feel genuinely valued and supported, fostering the conditions for meaningful and sustainable healing.
Regrettably, initiatives of this nature have largely been discontinued due to widespread budgetary constraints. Few entities are willing to commit to the three-to-five-year investment often required to assist society’s most vulnerable individuals in achieving recovery and reintegration under the guidance of highly skilled professionals. The prevailing approach prioritizes expedience and cost-efficiency over depth and quality of care.
This short-sighted perspective reflects a troubling societal reality: when individuals are deemed unworthy of meaningful investment, they are subjected to superficial, fast-tracked treatments that fail to address their deeper needs. Even within private care, the emphasis often remains on rapid results, leaving limited opportunity for profound, lasting transformation. This systemic shift underscores the critical need for advocacy and reform to ensure that marginalized individuals receive the comprehensive, compassionate care they truly deserve.

extraordinary
Credere is committed to creating a space for clients that is welcoming and compassionate. I have a gift for holding space for hard moments, but I am also not afraid to challenge my clients when necessary.
"I'm dedicated to empowering my clients to reclaim their inner strength and live authentically. My mission is to help them break free from the constraints of hurt and rediscover the confident, genuine version of themselves. To go in counseling means to say yes to a powerful journey of self-discovery, toward a life where you embrace joyeus living. Its a journey well worth travelling, cultivating meaningful relationships and experiencing profound fulfillment. We are not mending turmoil. We are discovering worth.
My clients predominantly include women, whether they are child-free or the heads of their families, who are looking for a therapist with deep understanding of their unique challenges. They’re generally high-functioning and high-achieving, experiencing relationship difficulties or hardship as a wife and mother. They are fierce yet fatigued, often finding themselves struggling with intricate family dynamics and conflicting loyalties due to highly complex issues.
